PhotoLuther Cornelius WALLACE, III - Agoura Hills, California August 8, 1941 to November 10, 2005 Luther Cornelius Wallace III, 64, passed away after a short but valiant fight against cancer. In 1974 he received a psychology degree from Cal State Northridge and in 2005 an MBA from University of Phoenix. A member of the US Army, in 1967 he served a tour of duty in Viet Nam. On his return he became an active anti-war, anti-racism and human rights activist. Over the years he founded or was involved with many local, state and national human rights groups. His greatest dream and goal was achieved shortly before his death with the completion and publication of a book of short stories written by him, titled, "Our Color Our Kind: A Male Bedside Reader." At the time of his death he was at work on an original screenplay and new short stories. His special interests were people, music, reading, learning new things, all sports and working with his family in his herb and vegetable garden. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 17, 2005 from 10:00 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Garcia Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 18, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church, 1777 Stathem Blvd., Oxnard, CA.
