How do I register for the conference?
[Print and fill out an application at ibwala.org/registration and mail payment (if applicable) to PO Box 43576, Los Angeles, CA 90043. You can pay with check, money order, or American Express, Visa, Mastercard or Discover.]

Where can I find discount hotel rates in the area?
[The Radisson Midtown has a limited number of rooms so act now! Prospective travelers to IBWALA's 30th Anniversary Conference & Workshops have ONLY until Thursday July, 22 to reserve AND PAY for lanai (deluxe) accommodations at the reduced/courtesy rate of $125 per night (plus applicable tax) at the Radisson Midtown (near USC and Exposition Park). Your credit card will be charged at the time of your reservation. (Ask about the cancellation policy.) How do I enter the spoken word slam?
Make sure you are familiar with the guidelines and sign up online by August 10, and submit payment at the door the evening of the event. Those who send payment in the mail (IBWALA, POB 43576, L.A., CA 90043) will receive first-come, first served placement on the program. All others will be listed at IBWALA's discretion.

What do I wear?
[Most important, be comfortable. Wear whatever you'd like -- express yourself. Show your support for IBWALA and purchase one of our 30th Anniversary t-shirts, caps, golf shirts, or bags at cafepress.com/ibwala. Some events are outdoors, others are inside air conditioned buildings so dress accordingly. The awards dinner dance is semi-formal, so come in your finest!]

When is the conference?
[The conference now begins Friday evening August 13, kicking off with the Spoken Word Slam hosted by Poetri of HBO's Def Comedy Jam. Day two begins the next day, Saturday, August 14 at 9 am. There is an awards dinner dance Saturday evening from 7 pm to 9:30 pm.]
